I brought my car in because the battery had died and mentioned I’d be going on a long trip, so I asked if they could also do an inspection. Partway through, they called and told me my oil was burnt and that I’d need an oil change, which would be another $100. That didn’t make sense since I had just gotten my oil changed last month, so I called back to question it. After I pushed back, the person said he’d have his guy check again. A little while later, they called back and said the oil was actually just “a bit brown.” I’m not sure how it could go from being burnt to just slightly discolored, and the whole exchange left me confused. They ended up charging $414 total for the inspection and battery replacement. The battery alone was $269, and labor was another $100, which feels high for a simple battery swap, especially since I have a basic model car and the battery is easy to access. I’m aware prices tend to run higher in Westlake, but even with that in mind, the cost felt excessive for the service I received. I know there’s a long-standing concern about young women being taken advantage of in auto shops, and honestly, I left feeling like that may have been the case here. I didn’t argue at the time, but looking back, the experience just didn’t sit right with me. I’ll definitely be asking more questions and getting a second opinion in the future.

I had some issues on the front end of my Toyota Camry and so I took the car here upon a recommendation from a good friend. Martin was very upfront, honest, and extremely fair in pricing. My car drives like brand new and Martin had it back to me within 24 hours. Highly recommend this shop!

I've transferred yearly maintenance from the dealership to Westlake Auto Care after the warranty expired. (I've found dealerships to be less than honest.) Have been very pleased with these visits. Recently I had issues with the front brakes, and the mechanic, Martin, was very open about the repair: the car was still safe, and the repair was optional. This week a similar issue appeared with the rear brakes. He diagnosed the issue and is attempting a quick fix to spare me the cost of replacement. And he didn't charge me! I live close by, and Martin was very accommodating about shuttling me back and forth. Westlake Auto Care has earned my business for the long-term.

Wonderful service! When my Audi A6 began overheating, I went online for a nearby service station and found Westlake Auto Care, which was highly recommended. I phoned and drove in. A small group of mechanics quickly determined that a new coolant thermostat was needed. They ordered the part and began work when it arrived the next day. Martin, the lead mechanic for my car, was knowledgeable and clearly explained the specifics. To ensure proper servicing, he readily contacted Audi service support regarding nuances on the A6. My A6 is again performing very nicely. It was refreshing to deal with an open, honest and professional provider that was dedicated to serving the customer and fixing the problem rather than with an impersonal factory shop. I highly recommend Westlake Auto Care for repairing an auto.
