🔧 FlashPoint Auto Inspection #2

Came in for an oil change. 30 miles after I left, white smoke is coming from the engine, and the block is cracked. Not sure what they did in the 12 minutes they had the car, but I paid 80 bucks for an oil change, and now I need a new engine. Would give -5 stars if possible Edit: Diagnostics confirmed a cracked block. The car ran reliably before this visit. While I understand high-mileage engines can fail, the suddenness immediately after the oil change is extremely suspect.

This is my second time getting an inspection for my sedan. Absolutely great service, just pull up, verify insurance, pay, and around 15 mins or so your done. Couldn’t be happier with this place. I would recommend anyone who needs a quick inspection with no BS to come here.

I went to this inspection station for a simple emissions test. I paid for the service, but at the end, I was told my car failed because they couldn’t read certain monitors. Immediately after, I went to another inspection station and passed without issue. When I returned to request a refund, they refused and asked me to leave the property. This experience makes me seriously question the reliability of their equipment and the quality of their customer service. Update: After receiving the inspection station's response, I would like to add a few observations. In my opinion, their tone comes across as defensive rather than customer-focused, shifting blame onto my vehicle without providing a sufficient explanation. The statement, “If every vehicle before and after has no issues, we know it’s a specific issue with that vehicle” is misleading, as emissions test results are always determined by the interaction between a vehicle’s onboard diagnostics and the testing equipment. Additionally, this claim is further disproven by the fact that my car passed the same test at another station immediately afterward—an inconvenient detail noticeably omitted from their response. It is unfortunate that the staff at this facility appear to lack a fundamental understanding of OBD-II testing. Fast service, I was in and out to get my inspection. The guy working here knew a lot about the inspection laws and was nice to explain it out to me. It was freezing that day, so they offered a nice chair area with a space heater to wait for the inspection. Was a very comfortable 10 min wait. Wouldnt get my inspections done anywhere else.

Super quick! From arrival to leaving, it only took about 12 minutes. This was my first inspection, but they were very polite and helpful when I called with questions beforehand. It’s first come, first served—no reservations. I heard mornings are the least busy, so I arrived around 9:05 AM, and there were no cars in line, making the process very smooth. They accept both credit cards and cash, and for me, it was $18.50. You do have to wait outside, so I recommend being prepared for the weather if you’re going during very hot or cold seasons. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend this place to my friends!
