TLDR: These people won’t give you the time of day. They’re clearly “too busy” to give customers good service. Don’t take your car here, ESPECIALLY as a woman. They will assume you’re dumb and try to swindle you and get your money without even providing any real service to you. Context: I brought my car here after “making an appointment” for it to get looked at. I mentioned some specific things I knew needed some work, but asked them to please give it a very thorough look over and give me a list of all the things I needed to get my car in better shape. I waited 48 hours to hear back from them, and all that had to say was some run of the mill “change your cabin air filter and a transmission flush”. I change my cabin air filter monthly, so immediately I could tell they barely looked at my car. When I asked about the items I specifically needed fixed, they said “oh I thought you didn’t want us to look at that” so clearly he really wasn’t listening to me when I was talking to him. When I got frustrated and impatient that it took them that long to just tell me to change my cabin air filter, I went to go pick up my car to bring it somewhere else. Even though they didn’t do any REAL work on my car, and only looked at it for less than 30 minutes (that’s what the guy said himself), they still charged me $100. I don’t have a ton of disposable income, and have expensive repairs that I need to do on my car, so that $100 was a big gut punch for me. I’m ashamed that I didn’t stand up for myself, but these people should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people. I just know I would’ve been treated completely differently by these people if I were a man. 0/10 do not recommend taking your car here.

Some of the things I appreciate most about Rising Sun North: they are honest, communicative, and fair. We have been taking our cars to this shop for more than a decade. They have helped us immensely with our Hondas and our old Mazda5 which, if it were a person, might be called "medically complex". Unlike some other shops, they have never suggested repairs that were not necessary, and have often found an inexpensive fix. I also appreciate that they get to know their customers. Thank you to David and Dave for running such a great auto shop!

Have been taking my cars here for over 10 years and they exceed my expectations time and time again. My Jeep Wrangler has been acting up, especially at higher speeds, they figured out that it was the brake hose, and it's on backorder with MOPAR due to many Jeeps having this issue. David persisted and called around to all the parts places until he found a place down south that had ONE left in stock. He had it couriered up for me and had it fixed the next day. If he had not taken the time to go the extra mile, I would not have had my Jeep back for days, maybe weeks. I cannot recommend them enough. Both the owner David and manager Dave are highly experienced pros and I wouldn't trust my cars with anyone else. As a side note, their coffee table of books are really cool too!

I had an amazing experience with the staff. Jon had clear and consistent communication about my car. Jeremy was also very kind and helpful. Come here, if you want quick and reliable service.

Shortly after buying our used 2017 Subaru Forester, my boyfriend and I's worst nightmare came true: a spark plug shattered and ruined our engine, necessitating a full replacement. Navigating the warranty and repair process was a headache, but Rising Sun did a fantastic job helping us every step of the way. David, our mechanic, was very considerate and skilled. He took the time to explain everything to us and keep us in the loop during the whole ordeal, on top of actually repairing the car, working with a third party inspector to evaluate the damage, and communicating with the warranty company. Fast forward to today, and once again David and his team have come through for us, replacing our AC compressor within one day. Highly recommend giving these guys your business.
