Sorry to the person with the review below me 🥶 it happens sometimes unfortunately. I’ve personally had a great experience with the South Lamar Rising Sun team and Jeremy has been great with communication. Just some good ol hometown mechanic vibes going on here. My car is at 90k miles so I did a complete revamp with new brake pads, flushed the transmission, new spark plugs, air filters, and oil change. They were very quick with the turn around time and my car is back to being a speed demon and running like she’s brand new. Highly recommend this team if you have a Japanese brand!

Last week I went to Rising Sun with my 2011 Honda Odyssey. After a thorough inspection, they provided a very straight forward list of potential repairs. I opted to replace my rear brakes and the air intake hose that had a hidden tear. Rising Sun was friendly and professional throughout the entire process.

POOR SERVICE & Management. Reason for vehicle maintenance POWER STEERING SYSTEM. Less than 200 miles driving shortly after getting my powering steering repaired my vehicle was worse off prior to repairs! Recommended additional preventative maintenance in additional to repairing existing power steering system. I mistakenly agreed on all recommendations without any hesitation mistakenly trusting Rising Sun on Lamar. Spending $2,100 my power steering failed. Returned vehicle to shop repairing perhaps faulty labor or parts. Upon further text messages regarding repairs Power Steering required repair. I kindly requested for mngr. JOHN (owner)responded I am not a crystal ball and can’t tell you when a mechanical failure occurs! Taking advantage of female customer is highly disrespectful! Rising Sun inability on accountability is highly unacceptable. John offered $150 discounted bill. He later refused to acknowledge my concerns on repairs spending a total of $4,500 for a single repair issue that was not fixed. The lack of customer service , refusing service on my vehicle and demanding to pick up is inexcusable behavior! Paid $2,100 for a vehicle that no longer is drive able and treated poorly!

I have been a regular here for awhile between an old Honda & my new old Toyota. I have consistently had great experiences & service from everyone! I also appreciate when the number of repairs needed is more than I can handle, they are helpful in prioritizing what needs to happen now and what can be addressed later. I’m super confident that the work is done right-I’ve never had to come back with a problem that didn’t quite get fixed. Love this place!

Amazing service! My Subaru drove amazingly. Took it camping this weekend and loved the experience I was 100% confident the drive and everything else was fixed and it drove perfectly! Sent message of all things to fix and obtained my permission within hours of taking it in. And it was completed earlier than promised! The only place in town (besides dealers) that the mechanics actually love Subaru’s! Also we took in our 4Runner it’s ready to pull my camper!
